ComeAlive Outside!

Arwen Turner is the Executive Director of Come Alive Outside, a non-profit organization that inspires collaborative community systems that create the awareness, intention, and opportunity for people to live healthier lives outside.  Arwen strives to live by the values that everybody has the right to enjoy the health and wellness benefits of the outdoors.

Arwen Turner has over 17 years experience in non-profit leadership and fund-development in the United States and abroad.

From 2016 through October of 2019, Arwen was the Chief Operating Officer Project HEAL an organization which brings access to treatment and support to those suffering from eating disorders. It was doing this work that Arwen realized the positive influence of the outdoors on mental health and wellness with those who have food and body image issues.

Arwen had a long-time career with Girl Scouts as the director of membership, program, and adult development for Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast as well as working overseas for the national headquarters of Girl Scouts as one of the Directors of USA Girl Scouts Overseas. For nearly four years Arwen directed the Girl Scout Program for 15 U.S military installations in Japan and South Korea. Additionally, she oversaw the logistics, operations, and fund development for all of the US Girl Scout Committees in Okinawa, Japan and South Korea.

Arwen is a lover of Harry Potter, getting dirty outside and chocolate cupcakes!  Amen!
